10 Lush Christmas Products you Need to Buy This Year

I've officially finished my first term at school and am now living it up spending my October holidays getting reacquainted with my bed. Missed you boo. However, I have a confession. Now that this first term is out of the way, Christmas may-kind of-sort of-might be starting to enter in to my radar. In my defence, the next term is literally called the Christmas term and is mainly centred around producing the most banging Nativity the world has ever seen so can you blame me?

However, to make matters worse, just as I was trying to push the C word far from my mind because omg Emma it's only the beginning of October why are you trying to choose your Christmas cards already, Lush only went and released their festive products...and then invited me along to see them at their Livingston store. Thanks guys, not helping.

So if you're one of those people who doesn't even think about Christmas until you realise oh crap I should have had an advent calendar five days ago then I'm sorry, this post is not for you and you should probably just close your browser. But if not, dig out that trusty Bublé Christmas album that we all seem to have a copy of, light a festive Yankee Candle and dim the lights until you're feeling cosy because I'm about to give you a whistle stop tour of my 10 Lush Christmas faves that will have even the Grinch weeing with excitement for December the 25th. Let us begin.

Bath Bombs

1. Shoot for the Stars

Brilliant blue and covered in golden stars, Shoot for the Stars creates a glittery sky in your bath that rivals the starry sky of the night of Jesus's birth. No lie. Made with Brazilian orange and bergamot oils, it smells truly heavenly and the combination of almond oil, coconut cream and cocoa butter leaves your skin feeling hydrated and silky smooth. It's perfect for a Wintery night time soak.

2. Northern Lights

Again, following with the sky theme, Northern Lights is another spectacle. It's odd, elongated shape allows it to spin in the water meaning trails of yellow and blue shoot from either end and mix with purple from the main body. Made with jasmine and ylang ylang oil, it's scent is relaxing and floral and is sure to lift your mood.

3. Never Mind the Ballistics

Boasting quite possibly my fave scent of the whole collection, Never Mind the Ballistics is made with lime and orange oils as well as fresh banana to give it the yummiest, fruitiest notes. However, what makes this bath bomb unique is the fact that the pink half has been covered with oils and coco butter, giving it the texture of a bath melt whilst still providing the excitement and colours of a bath bomb. This is deffo one of my top recommendations so if you trust my judgement - pick one up and I promise it won't disappoint.

Bubble Bars

4. The Christmas Penguin

Too cute to crumble, I will definitely be purchasing a few Christmas Penguins to add in to Christmas presents this year (mainly because their faces are so adorable that I kind of just want to give them all a home). Once broken up, it creates a lovely bubbly aqua-blue bath with a citrusy scent thanks to the lemon and bergamot oil and orange flower absolute.

5. Ruby Red Slippers

Considering that the Wizard of Oz is one of my all time favourite films (Judy Garland u babe), I was so excited to get to make my own Ruby Red Slipper at the Lush Livingston Christmas launch. Bright red and incredible sparkly (as all ruby slippers should be), the scent is spicy and warm and very unique due to the blend of carnation and rose absolute and festive tangerine oil. (I promise the ones you can buy in store look a lot better than mine).

6. Snowie

Just when I thought I couldn't love the brains behind Lush any more, Snowie (an adorable, festive tribute to Bowie) was born. With two different coloured eyes and a lightening flash across his tummy, Snowie creates lots of sparkly bubbles and a light floral and grapefruit scent when crumbled under the tap.

7. Jester, Santasaurus & The Magic of Christmas - Reusable Bubble Bar Wands

Reusable bubble bars are usually one of my fave things to pick up from Lush at Christmas time and I've lost count of how many pink snow fairy scented baths I had last year thanks to Magic Wand. This year, Lush have released three new festive wands that have got me feeling all kinds of excitement over their cute designs and Christmassy scents.

Packed with mandarin, tangerine and bergamot oils, Jester is a bubbly, zesty dream. Orangey, citrusy Santasarus turns your bath the most beautiful, festive shade of Christmas tree green ever. And last but not least, The Magic of Christmas is a spicy delight of cinnamon, clove, orange and almond. It's heavenly. I need them all.

Fun

8. Santa, Snow Fairy, Elf on the Shelf & Reindeer and Robin

There's something so satisfying about Lush's Fun and we all know that there's nothing better than a multitasking beauty product (especially when it can be used to make cute, festive characters). This year, Lush have released four different packs of Christmas Fun. Santa, has a sweet floral scent and is made with Ylang Ylang oil, Snow Fairy boasts everyone's favourite candyfloss scent, Elf on the Shelf smells super festive thanks to a blend of cinnamon, ginger and grapefruit and Reindeer and Robin smells just like fizzy cola bottles (I die).

Bath Melt

9. Boo

Although this is technically a Christmas post, it didn't feel right not to include at least one Halloween inspired product (especially one this cute). Boo is the perfect little earthy scented bath melt made with ginger, germanium and sandalwood oils and mimosa absolute as well as cocoa butter to soften the skin. It's the perfect stand alone ingredient for a relaxing bath time or can be used with a bath bomb to give your skin an extra treat.

Body Conditioner

10. Snow Fairy

Last but not least is quite possibly the Christmas product of my dreams. Like every other basic white girl on the planet, Snow Fairy is without a doubt my favourite Lush scent and I am literally over the moon that it's been released as a body conditioner this year. It has the same soft, creamy consistency as Ro's Argan Body Conditioner which, if you read my blog often, you'll know that I'm obsessed with. It's also the prettiest candy pink colour with a beautiful iridescent shine through it (I kind of wish I could use it as a highlighter). I am not even kidding when I say that I am stocking up until Christmas 2017 and ya know, if you fancy getting me a Christmas present, you won't have far to look.

I hope this bumper breakdown has been helpful and that your wishlist is as full as Santa is fat. Thank you Lush, thank you Jesus and Merry bloomin Christmas. I'm off to treat my ears to Buble's angelic voice.
