Dainty Spring Jewellery with Jewellery Box

Spring has finally sprung and I'm so bloomin excited. I'm the type of person who can never decide on a favourite season but is always ready for the next one to start when it comes around. However, there's always something about Spring that makes me so happy and enthusiastic about life. This is partly because it's literally the first time anyone in Scotland has seen the sun since Summer 2015 but also because Spring is one of my fave seasons to dress for. There's nothing I love more than digging out all the pretty colours that I had to abandon over Winter from the back of my wardrobe, swapping the boots for ballet pumps and saying goodbye to all the big coats that I've literally worn to death over the past few months. Plus it's still cold enough to layer (brb let me locate every preppy blazer I own and bring them to the front of my wardrobe) but sunny enough to justify wearing sunglasses to hide my puffy hayfever eyes. It's a win win really.

However, one of my favourite things about dressing for spring is definitely how often I find myself reaching for my jewellery collection. A few weeks in to Winter, I always realise that I'm never going to master accessorising massive, cosy jumpers with necklaces and I'm pretty sure wearing metal in your ears makes them get even colder when you're outside. So until it's time to crack out the brash, sparkly Christmas party jewellery, I reluctantly accept defeat. However, as soon as Spring is mentioned, I'm back delving in to my jewellery storage again, re-finding treasures I forgot I even had, the daintier the better.

I'm not sure what it is about this time of year that turns me in to  a magpie for delicate, barely-there jewellery but I seriously cannot get enough of it and, as a result, I kind of accidentally fell in love with everything from Jewellery Box's* site. I wanted to pick up some bits and bobs that I knew would be super easy to style and would see me through Spring and was seriously spoiled for choice. I eventually settled on three beautiful pieces which, when they arrived (in the cutest packaging may I add), not only looked amazing but were such great quality too.

I was first drawn to this beautiful little 18ct sterling silver arrow necklace in silver, before realising that omg it comes in rose gold which obviously meant I needed it even more.  I think it looks so pretty and elegant paired with this beautiful, lace floaty top and a pastel pink blazer to accentuate its rosey tones. Whenever I see it, it always reminds me of the saying "An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backwards. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that its about to launch you in to something great." which is the nicest little reminder to wear around your neck.

I have been a lover of pearl earrings since I bought a pack of 5 different sizes for a £1 in Primark at age 12 (of course I walked around wearing the biggest size, looking like Pat from Eastenders). Since then, I've managed to locate at least some class and bought a few pairs from different jewellers over the years. However, my most recent pair have sadly ended up in earring heaven as I literally wore them to death (R.I.P), so I was so happy when I came across these beauts as a replacement. They're so pretty and delicate, are the nicest quality and are made from 9ct yellow gold which makes my high maintenance, often temperamental earlobes very happy.

I'm a bit non-adventurous when it comes to rings and wake up every morning and on put the same two Pandora rings, one of which I've been wearing pretty much every single day of mine and Blair's relationship! However, I've been wanting to make a new addition for a while now and with both middle fingers taken and the ring finger reserved for a very special type of ring (which I won't be sporting for a very long time may I add), I knew a midi ring would be the way to go. I instantly fell in love with this infinity midi and love how stylish and put together I feel wearing it. Again, it's made from sterling silver so it doesn't have that horrible metallic smell or leave any green stains on your finger, plus it's adjustable which is perfect for me as the owner of the world's lankiest fingers.

I'm so impressed with everything from Jewellery Box and currently have a wish list the length of my arm so will definitely be making some purchases in the near future. It's so exciting to have a new go to jewellery store that sells on trend, super affordable pieces made from really good quality metals as I think it's rare for a store to tick all three boxes. I have a feeling my dainty Spring collection might be about to get a lot bigger, soz bank account. Does your taste in jewellery change throughout the seasons? What are you currently loving?
