The Perfect Night In

I'm so so happy to say I'm back after missing a post on Friday. Last week was super hectic for me as Uni deadlines are beginning to approach fast and furiously (I already need another holiday). It felt so strange missing a post and I was desperate to stay up late and throw something together but I really didn't want to just rush and post something I wasn't 100% happy with. However, I'm back and feeling a lot more organised now that I've finished my first essay of the semester.

When I have a deadline to meet or a piece of work to finish I usually find myself getting so stressed trying to fit everything in. If I ever have plans which don't involve working on what I need to get done I'm literally met with pangs of guilt. This often means that during this time I forget that I need to take some me time and look after myself. So on Friday night, with most of my essay completed, I decided to go all out and have a proper pamper night in with just me, myself and I.

My relaxing nights in are always centred around having a nice bath. Especially now that the nights are getting colder, baths are my favourite things and, being a Lush loyalist, I'll always have something delightful at hand to pop in and better the whole experience

For this particularly night, I decided to use an Amandopondo bubble bar, a product I've used before and will always repurchase. It's rose scent with hints of lemon and orange oils is super relaxing and it's really lovely and moisturising on the skin, perfect for nights where you're looking for some TLC. It creates lovely bubbles, but probably not enough for my liking (can you ever have too many bubbles?). I love the little flower on top which I tend to spend the whole of my bath searching for in the water.

Like the sad person I am, I love to match my scents so I also used Ro's Argan body conditioner - another rose scented love of mine. I could probably write a whole blog post about how much I love this stuff  and the wonders it's done for my problem skin. Made with shea butter and a range of oils (including everyone's fave: argon) it's a dream to apply and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.

I also burned my "Clean Cotton" Yankee which has been one of my favourite scents since I was a little girl and will always remind me of home. It's a really fresh, neutral smell which worked really nicely with the rosie scents coming from my bath.

Once I'd had a suitably long soak (and by suitably long I mean I had successfully turned in to a prune), I got out the bath, in to my cosy dalmatian onesie and picked a face mask. My go to for a while has been the Tropic Radiance Clay Mask. Made with green tea and clay, it works on purifying and refining the pores. My favourite thing about this mask is how bright and fresh my face looks for the next few days after using it, I swear my face actually glows. I also love the tingly, hot, tightening sensation the mask gives your face when using it, I always feel like that means it's definitely working!

Whilst waiting for my mask to set and work it's magic I like to just chill with my fairy lights and my laptop and catch up on some blogs. Then once I've cleaned my face it's time to Netflix and chill watch some Netflix in bed before getting a good sleep.

I feel super rejuvenated and ready for a week of Uni work and blogging after taking some time out for myself. I only wish every weekend was as relaxing! What are your favourite ways to unwind and relax? Have you tried any of the products feature in this post? Thanks for reading!
