Halloween Deer Inspired Make Up Look

I love the whole aspect of dressing up at Halloween but my favourite part is definitely Halloween make up as opposed to costumes. I can sometimes find myself scrolling for hours on Pinterest looking at everyone's make up ideas. So when I saw some people transforming themselves into my favourite animal, I knew I had to give it a go and attempt a deer inspired make up look of my own. It was surprisingly quite easy to do and I already had everything I needed in my make up collection. So I thought I'd show you how I did it.

You Will Need:

Primer (optional)
Foundation
Concealer
Bronzer (preferably a contour stick)
Something to fill in your brows with
Brown Eyeshadow
Liquid eyeliner
An eyeliner pen
White pencil eyeliner
Mascara
2 sets of fake eyelashes

1. I used Benefit's Professional and Mac's Studio Fix foundation as a base. Once blended, I applied some Benefit Fake Up concealer under my eyes to brighten them and then added some Rimmel Stay Matte powder on top to keep my make up in place. Next I took my Clinique Chubby Contour Stick and applied it in the hollows of my cheekbones, either side of my temples, my nose and very lightly to my jaw line. I blended a little bit with a brush but not as much as I would on a normal day (deer are very chiselled you know).

2. I then filled in my eyebrows with the Soap and Glory Archery felt tip. After priming my eyes, I applied some brown eyeshadow for definition (and to make myself more deer coloured). I used the colour Buck (excuse the very convenient pun) from my Naked Pallet all over my lid then added a little bit of Darkhorse to my outer corner crease. I then lined my top lid with Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid liner.

3. Next I took my Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner pen and drew two lines starting from the end of each of my eyebrows and down both sides of the bridge of my nose to the tip of my nose. I then coloured in the tip of my nose using both eyeliners. Next, I drew two curved lines with little flicks on the end, just below the lovely bags under my eyes, which mirrored the shape of my eyes. I also used the same eyeliner pen to draw a line slightly above my natural eyelid crease to give the appearance of bigger Bambi eyes which stand out.

4. I then took my Mac 'Fascinating' white kohl eyeliner and went a little bit crazy with spots. I drew the spots in a sort of love heart shape above my eyebrows and then down the side of my cheeks. I then swept the pencil down the bridge of my nose and lined my lower lash line. I also applied little dots under my eyes just to brighten them.

5. Lastly, I put on some mascara, then took my first set of fake strip lashes and applied them normally to my top lash line. I then took the second, slightly lighter set, and applied them backwards on top of the curvy line I had drawn under my eyes earlier, meaning the lashes were facing out the way. To finish, I applied Mac's Velvet Teddy to my lips as I thought it was a nice natural browny-nude shade that would tie everything together and Voila!

I had so much fun creating this make up look and walked around the house with it on for so long afterwards because I didn't want to take it off! This is a little bit of a different post for me so I hope you enjoyed it. What are your favourite make up looks to do for Halloween? Thanks for reading!
